The Cypha Teen Open Mic

South Side Help Center

Come to The Cypha teen open mic and let your voice be heard. Express yourself through poetry and spoken word and connect with other teens!

The Cypha is a teen-focused spoken word open mic event that provides a platform for teens to showcase their talent in spoken word, poetry, and other forms of performance art. The event is designed to provide a safe and supportive environment for teens to express themselves, build confidence, and connect with other like-minded individuals.

The event is open to all teenagers who want to participate, whether they are experienced performers or first-time open mic participants.

The Cypha includes a mix of open mic performances and featured performers. Open mic performers sign up in advance or on the night of the event and are given a set amount of time to perform their piece. Featured performers are invited to perform in advance and are given a longer set to showcase their work.

The Cypha is a community that celebrates diversity, inclusivity, and creativity. We believe that spoken word and poetry have the power to inspire, challenge, and transform the world, and we're committed to creating a space where teenagers can use their voices to make a difference. Join us and be part of the movement!
